There are two ways to reach Syros, the capital of the Cyclades:

By boat, which is the easiest and also the cheaper way, you can reach Syros’ main port at Ermoupolis. The ferry from Piraeus to Syros with a conventional ship takes 3.5 hours, while a high speed boat arrives in about two hours.

During the summer season, Syros is also easily reached from Rafina’s port and is also connected by boat to most of the Cycladic islands.

If you prefer a faster way to reach the island, then you can get by airplane.

Demetrios Vikelas National Airport of Syros is located three kilometers from Ermoupolis. There is only one scheduled daily route from Athens and is a good solution if you want to be directly on the island.

Kini can be easily reached by car, motorbike or Syros’ public buses. Another way is by boat to the small harbor next to the beach.
